Church Goals

To be a God glorifying Covenant Body...

I. Identity

We identify with the church through salvation and baptism.

II. Unity

We work toward unity in the body by praying for one another, submitting our speech to God, keeping realtionships right, and following leaders as they follow God.

III. Lifestyle

We live in a way that glorifies God, pray and study God's Word, and maintain a Christ-like witness in our behavior.

IV. Participation

We are actively involved in the life and work of PSBC, particularly in worshiping together, encouraging one another in small groups, prayer, giving, and observing the ordinances.

V. Service

We serve God and others by being equipped to serve, using our spiritual gifts in the body, proclaiming the Gospel, and caring for our community and our world.

To be a Church with purpose...

I. The purpose of all creation, God's children particularly, is to bring glory to God.

Ascribe to the Lord, O clans of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness. - 1 Chronicles 16:28-29

To be a Church after its mission...

I. The mission of the church is the Great Commission - to make disciples of all nations.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. - Matthew 28:19-20
